Week 2

The second week of the program is going well. All of the students are getting along well and we are getting more used to the intensity of the program. The weekend was a nice break. We started it off by going to a great thai restauraunt near our hostel on Friday Night. On Saturday I went to a Northeastern basketball game and then out to Cambridge with some friends from the program. We went to the "Phoenix" which is a finals club at Harvard and a bastion of old-fashioned white elitism. The house itself was beautiful and some of the people were nice/normal but I couldn't help feeling like I had just walked into 1952. The coolest part was the customized poker chips/cards with the Phoenix logo. Over the weekend I also found the time to go on a couple long runs through the city of Boston. I got to see a lot of the city and their are some great spots including running along the Charles River as well as through Boston Common and Quincy Market. I guess that's all for now... only three more days until India... or at least until the flight leaves.
